Windsurfing Weekend - 2 Day Residential

Windsurfing WeekendThe Weekend Break begins with a BBQ/meal on the Friday evening at 7pm, at Coverack Youth Hostel, followed by a welcome introduction to the Windsurfing Centre. The weekend breaks are for all levels of windsurfing abilities, from complete beginners to advanced (level 4 & 5 sailors) Fast Forward Windsurfers.

We coach you at your own rate and relative experience. The aim of the weekend is to have fun, learn in a safe and friendly environment, and to improve your windsurfing. If you would like to use your own equipment, you are welcome to bring it and store it at the Centre.

The prices shown include all coaching and instruction, safety boat cover, third party liability insurance, wetsuits, windsurfing equipment, surf skis, and full board and accommodation at Coverack Youth Hostel for both days. (An alternative recommended accommodation list is provided, listing other types of accommodation - please see Non-Residential prices).

The weekend break ends after windsurfing on Sunday, approx 1800hrs (this is flexible).

Windsurfing Weeks - 5, 7 & 14 Day Residential Coverack YHA

Windsurfing WeeksThe start of the 5, 7 & 14 day courses / holidays begins with the evening meal at 7pm on the day prior to commencement of your windsurfing (ie. arrive Sunday to start windsurfing Monday morning 0915). There is a welcome introduction to the Centre and a daily meeting each morning 0915 at the harbour. (the courses and holidays can start on any day to suit you, subject to availability of places, please telephone 01326 280939.)

The holidays and courses are for all levels of windsurfing abilities, from the complete beginner to the advanced level windsurfer. We instruct and coach you at your own rate, in small groups (the maximum number of clients we take on a weekly course is 12), enabling us to keep the coaching and tuition personal.

We are flexible to your needs and requirements, and aim to make this a special holiday for you. If you would like to use your own equipment you are welcome to bring it (discount £25 for weekend/£45 per week).

Non-Residential Courses

On all these non-residential courses we provide all instruction / video coaching, RYA log books, safety boat cover, all windsurfing equipment, wetsuits, third party liability insurance, and surf skis. Booking Conditions 2007

  • Participants must be physically fit to take part in the activities involved and be free from any illness or conditions which may render the activity hazardous.
  • The information regarding medical conditions need not necessarily prevent the participant taking a full part in a course, BUT the Centre Principal and instructors must be aware of any potential problems the client may have.
    If you are in any doubt, please consult your G.P. Doctor ( All information will be in the strictest confidence).
  • Participants must be able to swim 50 meters or be water confident. All clients are to wear an approved EN 393 buoyancy aid and/or an approved windsurfing harness.
  • Clients under the age of 18 are to wear a safety helmet and a EN 393 buoyancy aid. Windsurfing harness are also provided if required.
  • All helmets, buoyancy aid and harnesses are provided by the Centre.
  • Clients under the age of 8 years of age must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians while in attendance at the Centre.
  • Participants are recommended to use suitable footwear for water sessions. (5 mm Gul Winter Wetsuit boots can be purchased from the Centre at a reduced price to clients of £28 per pair. Please complete the booking form if you require a pair.)
  • Coverack Windsurfing Centre, its proprietor and instructors will not and cannot accept liability for loss or damage of personal property or equipment while at the Centre, Water Bases, Pirate Loft, YHA, Travelling between locations or whilst on the water.
  • All balances of payments become due four weeks prior to your course/holiday.
  • Water time depends on the weather conditions, our aim is for a full days windsurfing each day with additional time spent on dryland simulators, personal coaching, video coaching and RYA presentations covering the windsurfing syllabus (approx. 7.5 hours per day)
  • Coverack Windsurfing Centre reserves the right to cancel any holiday dates due to circumstances outside our control, a full refund applies in these circumstances (we have NEVER cancelled).
  • Cancellations by a client within four weeks of course commencement will result in a 80% refund.
  • Cancellations by a client within a two weeks notice or less will result in a 50% refund only.
  • NB. We have NOT cancelled a course in 26 years of operation.
  • Coverack Windsurfing Centre have copyright and the right to use photographs or video footage taken during courses for advertising and promotional purposes.
